Ms Tiffin

Terms of Service

Last updated June 11, 2026

These terms explain how your Ms Tiffin subscription works — billing, scheduling, cancellations, and more. Please read them before subscribing.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ms Tiffin’s website and your subscription to our tiffin meal service. By subscribing or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Ms Tiffin operates in the Greater Vancouver area, British Columbia, Canada. (See "Governing law & disputes" below.)

2. Eligibility

By subscribing or placing an order, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract;
  • the delivery address you provide is within our service area; and
  • the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.

Service is only available to customers with a delivery or pickup arrangement in our serviced areas. We may decline or cancel an order placed from outside our service area.

3. Your subscription

A Ms Tiffin subscription provides freshly prepared tiffins on a recurring basis. You choose your tiffin size, the number of days per week, your non-veg frequency, carbs, and delivery or pickup.

Tiffin service runs Monday through Saturday. Sunday is non-operating — no deliveries or preparation occur on Sundays.

Each billing cycle is four (4) weeks. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each cycle unless you pause or cancel.

4. The menu

Our menu rotates and is set by Ms Tiffin. We reserve the right to change the menu, including the dishes served on any given day, at any time and without notice — for example, due to ingredient availability, seasonality, or kitchen operations.

Each tiffin is served as prepared for that day. You cannot choose to omit or substitute individual dishes within a tiffin, or decline specific components on a given day. You receive the tiffin as made for that day.

If you would like more or different items, you can use the upgrade and add-on options we make available (such as extra dishes, non-veg days, or other add-ons) at the applicable price. Dietary preferences offered at signup (where available) apply across your tiffins and are not per-dish, per-day choices.

5. Pricing, billing & taxes

Your subscription is billed every four weeks to the payment method on file, processed securely by Stripe. The amount depends on your plan (size, days per week, non-veg frequency, carbs, delivery method) and any active commitment.

All prices are shown exclusive of tax. Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 5% is added to your subtotal at checkout and on every renewal invoice.

Prices may change over time. We will give notice of any price change before it applies to your subscription.

6. Scheduling & the daily cutoff

For each delivery day, the cutoff to schedule, change, or skip is 8:00 PM the night before (Vancouver time). After the cutoff, that day’s tiffins are committed to production and can no longer be changed.

If you do not schedule by the cutoff, fixed-schedule plans follow your set days and flexible plans follow the defaults described at signup.

7. Skipping & carry-forward of tiffins

You may skip a tiffin before its cutoff. A tiffin you do not use within a cycle can carry forward into your next cycle, up to a maximum balance of five (5) carried tiffins at any time.

A tiffin that is still scheduled when its cutoff passes is considered used (it has been prepared for you) and does not carry forward.

8. Add-ons, non-veg & overage charges

You can add extras to a tiffin (such as additional dishes or non-veg days beyond your plan) and choose paid delivery options. When you confirm a schedule that includes paid extras beyond your plan, the additional amount (plus GST) is charged immediately to your payment method on file.

If a charge for extras cannot be completed, the affected schedule confirmation will not be saved until payment succeeds.

9. Weekly credits

Your plan includes a weekly credit toward add-ons, with the amount depending on your tiffin size. Weekly credits are granted at the start of each calendar week (Sunday) and expire at the end of that week (Saturday, Vancouver time).

Weekly credits do not roll over to the next week and have no cash value. They are applied automatically before any charge to your card.

10. Pausing, cancelling & reactivating

You can pause, cancel, or reactivate your subscription from your account. When you cancel, your subscription remains active through the end of the cycle you have already paid for; it does not renew after that.

Cancelling does not refund the current cycle. You keep the tiffins you have already paid for through the end of that cycle.

Ms Tiffin reserves the right to suspend or cancel your service at any time, at our discretion. Where we cancel a subscription that is under a commitment, the applicable commitment and early-cancellation charges still apply.

11. Commitment plans & early cancellation

If you choose a commitment plan (for example, a 2, 3, or 6-month term), you receive a discounted rate in exchange for committing to that term.

If you cancel a commitment plan before the term ends, an early-cancellation charge applies. This recoups the commitment discount you have already received plus an early-cancellation fee, and is shown to you for confirmation before any charge is made.

12. Refunds & credits

Our tiffins are freshly prepared, perishable food. We do not accept returns, and orders are generally final once committed to production at the daily cutoff.

Where a refund or goodwill adjustment applies, Ms Tiffin issues it as account credit rather than a cash refund to your card. Account credit is applied automatically to future charges and has no cash value.

In the limited cases where a cash refund is issued, it will be net of administration costs and payment processing fees.

If something is wrong with your tiffin or you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@mstiffin.ca and we will review it. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.

13. Delivery

Delivery is available to serviced postal codes in the Greater Vancouver area. Delivery fees may apply per tiffin and are shown at checkout.

Standard delivery depends on your building type:

  • Houses — standard delivery is to your door.
  • Condos and apartments — standard delivery is to the building lobby or main entrance.
  • Door delivery within a condo or apartment building (to your unit) is available as an upgrade and is subject to an additional fee.

You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and access details (unit number, buzzer code, parking or entry instructions). We are not responsible for orders that cannot be delivered, or that are left at the standard delivery point, due to inaccurate, incomplete, or inaccessible delivery information.

A tiffin is considered delivered once it is left at your delivery point (your door for houses, or the lobby or main entrance for condos and apartments). It is your responsibility to retrieve your tiffin promptly. Once delivered, the tiffin is in your care, and Ms Tiffin is not responsible for any tiffin that is lost, misplaced, taken, damaged, or spoiled after delivery — including from leaving it unattended at the delivery point. For food safety, please collect and refrigerate your tiffin as soon as possible.

14. Communications & SMS consent

We send transactional messages (order confirmations, schedule reminders, delivery updates, billing notices) by email, and by SMS where you have opted in. SMS opt-in is express consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL); you can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and opt back in with START.

You cannot opt out of essential account and billing emails while you have an active subscription.

15. Allergens & dietary information

Our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens including dairy, gluten, and nuts. Dietary labels are provided as a guide and we cannot guarantee against cross-contact. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before subscribing.

16. Events beyond our control

Ms Tiffin is not responsible for delays or failures in preparation or delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including severe weather, road or traffic conditions, supply or ingredient shortages, utility or equipment failures, labour disruptions, illness, or government actions.

If such an event affects your service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and, where appropriate, credit affected tiffins to your account.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ms Tiffin is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our service or products.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a tiffin, order, or your subscription will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected tiffin or order.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (British Columbia). These limits do not affect statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, ask you to accept the new version. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Governing law & disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or your use of Ms Tiffin, are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

You agree that the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any such dispute, subject to any consumer-protection rights you have to bring a claim in your place of residence.
